Why has posting to Silver Chatter slowed down?

I've received a few emails from readers wanting to know what's happened to me? I appreciate the interest and should explain why posts have been so few lately.

I now have three Internet web locations that I support:
The latter two have been taking so much of my spare time that I've been remiss in posting to this blog. All three sites are getting a decent amount of traffic each day. During the week, the combined daily "hits" on all three sites is somewhere around 350. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the number sometimes jumps close to 500 per day. A lot of people are interested in silver, it seems!

Thanks to all regular readers and keep clicking those Google ads - I need money for Starbucks!

I have a question about a cuff bracelet that I recently acquired from an estate. It is obviously sterling silver, in good shape though darker in colour (which may be patina?). Where something like this would normally have a "925" stamp, this cuff has a "1000" stamp. I feels like normal sterling - that is to say that it is not softer in any way. Would you know anything about this? I could try to provide a picture if that would help. Just let me know.

Many thanks in advance for any information you are able to provide!

Cheers!

This is in response to the previous comment.

I suppose the '1000' could mean 100% silver. I've never seen this because the metal would not be strong enough for most uses. However, your statement about the hardness of this piece runs against 100% silver.

If you have a contact in the jewelry business, this might something they have seen before and could give you a better answer.

Thanks, Silver Jim! I appreciate your taking the time to answer. I'll speak to a jewellery store owner that I know the next time I see him and report back with any interesting information if I get it.

Cheers
